We have been asked to bring to the attention of our visitors an extra special donation from The Lithuanian World Community to The United States.
 
We decided to add an extra page for the express purpose of bringing this to the attention of our visitors as we know that in addition of literally thousands of people that we are able to welcome to the website each week, we are also honored to have the website frequently used for various official projects and hope that by hosting this page we are able to help the Lithuanian World Community to reach the requisite people who are responsible for the type of sites that are needed for this wonderful tribute.

          MEMORIAL TO THE VICTIMS OF  9.11.2001  FROM  LITHUANIA

 

        The tragic events of September II, 2001 struck a deep chord in the hearts of the  people of Lithuania. Memorials in the form of exhibitions, concerts and media presentations were held in sympathy with the people of the United States. Art and musical compositions were created.

 

        This striking sculpture expresses the horror of broken, twisted bodies of innocent victims crying out to the heavens and the torn flag of the U.S. offered up as evidence of an atrocious crime.

 

        The sculptor wishes to donate this sculpture to the people of the United States. We presently are seeking an appropriate site.
